The Haines Economic Development Corporation board of directors on Aug. 3, 2018 voted unanimously to publish this final draft of the Haines Economic Baseline Report, dated June 2018. The baseline data report serves a foundation document for development of HEDC’s and the community’s Five-year Economic Development Strategy (expected to be completed by the end of August 2018.) Please refer to pages 1-4 of the report for important points to remember when reading and using this report. This section is especially important for understanding the scope of work and methods used in compiling the report as well as additional data needs the report identifies. HEDC may compile expanded data in some areas; that additional information will be added to the report as appendixes over time and posted here. Hard copies of the report are available at the Haines Borough Public Library, the Haines Borough Administration Office and the HEDC office or by emailing director@hainesedc.org.
