The Haines Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors has hired David Simmons as the new Interim Executive Director. Simmons holds a master’s degree in International Business Studies from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany and previously served as a Fulbright under the U.S. Embassy in Minsk, Belarus. In 2017 Simmons started a transportation and tour business between Haines, Alaska and the Yukon Territory.
In order to help businesses and individuals navigate the economic relief options available to them, Simmons will be available in the HEDC office on 2nd Avenue from Wednesday – Friday from 9am to 4pm.
