Sally Andersen is a 12 year resident of Haines and a lifelong resident of Alaska. She has a M.S. from the University of Vermont and has been a field biologist and owner of a wilderness guide service based in Fairbanks since 2007. She has served on the Boards of several non-profit organizations in Haines and is excited to learn more about the business community and help promote economic development in the Chilkat Valley.

Lee Hart has managed branding and marketing projects for clients representing local communities, as well as national and international corporations and NGOs. Her Bachelor’s of Arts is in Technical Journalism. She is new to Haines and enjoying getting to know the Chilkat Valley.

Greg runs two adventure travel businesses in Haines and enjoys collaborating with his fellow board members on ways for Haines to reach its economic potential. If he’s not answering the phone he’s probably on the water fly fishing with his wife, Chris, and their wonder-pup, Sammy.

A Haines retiree, Sue has 30 years of experience managing energy and environmental projects at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. Moving to Alaska in 2006 she worked on environment assessments statewide and worked for the Juneau Economic Development Council responsible for identifying Department of Defense technologies with potential for start ups in Alaska.

Chip Lende is the owner of the local lumber store and a 35 year resident of Haines. He is an active long-distance biker and community member. He and his wife Heather have five children and nine grandchildren.

Sean has been involved in building businesses and economic development in the upper Lynn Canal for thirty years. He is a founding member of the Haines Economic Development Corporation. When he is not in his office or volunteering in the community you can find him with friends playing outside in this beautiful place we call home!

Darsie has lived in Haines for 30 years and has experience working in local government, adventure tourism and mineral exploration. He is passionate about community development and believes that Haines has all the necessary assets to create a thriving, vibrant economy.
