If you want to start or run a successful business you have to understand the numbers. Regardless of the industry, size or other unique features of your business, financial analysis is critical to both starting a business and staying in business. If you are working on the feasibility of an idea or writing a business plan, you need this class!
This workshop will teach you how to develop a financial plan using the AK SBDC’s Financial Model tool which is an extensive Excel model. Don’t worry, no previous experience with Excel is necessary.

- Start-Up Budget
- Salaries and Wages
- Fixed Expenses
- Sales Projections
- Income Statements
- Cash Flow Statements
- Balance Sheets
The results of this exercise will be ready to insert into the financial portion of your business plan.
NOTE: This workshop is the first in a series of six. Although attending each one is not required, it is highly recommended that you attend as many as possible.
